01 · The Situation

A new brand entering the market from zero.

Ultimate Party Pooper was a new brand entering the market. There was no prior campaign history or established baseline. The objective was to establish brand presence from scratch, build initial conversion momentum, and prove the product had a viable market before scaling investment.

02 · The Strategy

Fix the funnel before scaling the spend.

Fix the conversion path before scaling spend. I rebuilt the website user journey, removing friction at the product page, simplifying checkout, restructuring visual hierarchy to prioritise purchase intent signals. Only after conversion rate showed meaningful improvement did I increase ad spend.

03 · The Execution

CRO overhaul. Then scale.

Complete website CRO overhaul first. Then Meta campaigns scaled into the improved funnel. Every additional rupee in ad spend landed on a site capable of converting it, not a broken funnel.

04 · The Results

3.26x ROAS. 20x daily add-to-cart lift from launch.

Results are measured against the launch baseline from week one of the campaign, not against prior campaign performance (none existed).

05 · Key Insights

The strategic takeaways.

01

What I learned

Scaling ad spend on a broken conversion path is the most common and expensive mistake in D2C marketing. For UPP, the highest-leverage action was not a better creative or a new audience, it was fixing what happened after the click.

02

What surprised me

The 20x add-to-cart lift came entirely from CRO changes, not from the campaign. The campaign only benefited from the improved funnel. This proved that creative and targeting were never the problem.

03

What I'd do differently

Run a conversion rate audit before the first rupee of ad spend on any new brand. The audit would have saved 2–3 weeks of underperforming campaigns while the funnel was still broken.
